I'm a licensed Arkansas PI who visited your site to find a pI to refer a project to. Just wanted to say that Arkansas now has a professional PI association (www.aappi.org). We hope you will use this site as a place to find qualified PI's that are willing to work with you. Your site is super, by the way.
Response from Bill L. Howard - OPIA Secretary and Website Administrator - snooper@oklahomapi.com Michael - Welcome to the neighborhood! Good to have you and the Arkansas Association of Professional Private Investigators as our new partners to the East. Also, I will add the AAPPI to our Link List. As we discussed during our phone conversation, I did not run for reelection in December, so after 8-years, I will be leaving the Secretary's post. As of January 1, 2005, newly elected Secretary Charles Wilson will be taking over these duties.

This looks like a great organization. My grandmother and I are currently going through the training to become armed Private Investigators. This would and probably will be a very useful tool for the both of us. I would welcome any pointers that anyone in the field of computer forensics can give. I am going to be receiving my AAS in criminal justice with an emphasis in Computer Forensics in May.
Thanks and have a good day / night.

The OPIA is professional and a good source of information. I don’t hesitate to refer those who are searching for a private investigator to the OPIA.
I appreciate the link to CLEET, Oklahoma's licensing agency. Working together is the key. Thank you.
Response from Bill L. Howard - OPIA Secretary and Website Administrator - snooper@oklahomapi.com. Kelly - thanks for the submission and compliments. Working together is indeed the key, and with the establishment of the Private Security (includes investigators) Advisory Committee (PSAC), the level of cooperation achieved between CLEET and the OPIA has served the public and our profession well. We appreciate your supervision and guidance.

I am finishing my B.S. in Criminal Justice at Northeastern State Univ. I already have a A.A.S. in Computer Forensics. I am debating on what to do with with my degrees. A PI sound like a good choice, yet I am uncertain about Oklahoma's need for a computer crime investigator/PI. I would like to speak with PIs operating in that field for possible employment and/or general operations. I would be happy to send anyone interested a resume. Also, I am glad I found this site. It is very indept.
Thanks for your time

What does someone need to do to get a private investigators license? What courses does someone need to take and what else would I need to do to get mine?Response From Bill L. Howard - OPIA Secretary - snooper@iamerica.net - Private Investigators in Oklahoma must be licensed by CLEET - 405.425.2775 - this state agency can provide information regarding required training and other licensing requirements. For someone starting without experience, it is sometimes difficult to find employment with an established PI agency, but not impossible. Many PI's have former law enforcement experience, which is of great benefit. If you do obtain your license, the OPIA will welcome your membership to the organization. Hope I've been helpful in answered your questions.

I have also sent away for information on two correspondence courses on this subject. If anyone has any tips that might help me or would let me come and visit with you, please email me. I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm a Colorado private eye (Live in Longmont, CO, work in Denver & throughout the west) and I'm seeking the names of some decent forensic pathologists who might consult on defense cases. There seem to be a declining number in Colorado who have either the time or inclination. If anybody has names of such witnesses who are expert qualified or who you might know personally are well qualified and willing to consult on defense cases, I'd appreciate the help. They don't have to be from Colorado of course, but the closer the better for price and time considerations. Thanks in advance.
